Our Special Victims Unit (SVU) is comprised of a Sergeant and four Detectives. SVU Detectives have specialized training in interviewing children and victims of sexual abuse. They also have extensive training in computer forensics and deaths involving children.
SVU Detectives investigate sex-related crimes, child abuse, elderly abuse, child deaths, child pornography, prostitution and any other crimes which are sensitive in nature. Our SVU Detectives are also part of the Utah County Special Victims Unit Task Force and Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC). The Special Victims Unit is dedicated and committed to serving the citizens of Orem.
