Message from City Recorder Donna Weaver
The City Recorder’s Office is the custodian of the official records of the City of Orem, and records of the proceedings of the Orem City Council. The Office maintains all ordinances and resolutions adopted by the City Council and keeps the municipal code.
The Office coordinates and conducts municipal elections for the City of Orem. Election information is maintained by this office which accepts applications from candidates seeking to run for public office within Orem.
All public noticing including meetings, agendas, and ordinances are posted by this office.
The Office administrates the City’s Government Records Access and Management (GRAMA) records request program. The State of Utah established the GRAMA Act allow the public to make a request for a record from the appropriate Utah government official or agency. For police records, contact the Police Department.
The Orem Recorder’s Office is also a passport acceptance facility and accepts passport applications on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Please be sure to bring a check or money order for the federal fee.
